When in the Bwindi Impenetrable forest, you will track the shy giant mountain gorilla families while from the other trails you can go for community visits, bird watching and nature walks characterized by a number of bird species including the great Blue Turaco, Black casques hornbills, Black and White Hornbills, Yellow Backed Weavers, and many more bird species.

Detailed Itinerary for your 3 days gorilla trekking trip to Bwindi forest

Day 1 :» Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport or at your hotel of residence in either Entebbe or Kampala, you will be picked by our guide / driver or company representative and be briefed on a 3 days gorilla trip. After the briefing, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the South Western part of Uganda. On our way to Bwindi Forest Park, expect to make a stop-over at the drum maker village, Uganda Equator for an informative talk, memorable experiences, photographies and a coffee or snacks.

Continue with our drive to Mbarara town for our lunch at Agip Motel/ Igongo Cultural village, then proceed through rural countryside of Uganda. En-route view of the beautiful scenery where you can spot the Rwenzori mountain ranges, triangular peaks of the Virunga volcanoes of Rwanda and Congo and terraced farming to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park home to half of the endangered giant mountain gorilla.

Day 2 :» Gorilla tracking activity – Bwindi Forest Park

After your early morning cup of coffee, set yourself for the giant gorilla tracking briefing from the Uganda wildlife officials and thereafter enter into the jungle to start your gorilla trekking activity and search for the shy giant mountain gorillas as you enjoy their life style in their habitats. After spotting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour gazing into their big round eyes.

On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sunscreens and a hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movement of these primates. After this experience you will have informative memorable experience in life.

Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 :» From Bwindi back to Kampala

After your early morning breakfast, our driver picks you up and drives you back to Kampala/ Entebbe International Airport to board your home flight or your desired destination hotel or place of residence.
