Day 1: Kigali

Upon your arrival at Kanombe international airport, you are met by our driver/guide. Thereafter transfer to Kigali City for your dinner and overnight at Hotel des Mille Collines, Umubano Hotel or Hotel Gorillas. Meal plan: Half-Board.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking.

Early morning cup of coffee, after prepare for mountain gorilla tracking briefing from the authorities of the park. Thereafter set off for the track into the rain tropical forest searching for the habituated gorilla family unit.

You keep around close to the eye-catching primates for about an hour watching and photographing them. Ensure that you bring with you packed lunch and water, rain gear, insect repellent, sun screen, hat and walk-able shoes. Depending on the time you will spend while tracking you may choose to take an additional activity. Transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight at the Gorilla Nest Hotel. Meal plan: Full-Board.

Day 3: Dian Fossey

Early morning breakfast, after trek to the renowned Dian Fossey Research centre and Grave Yard, where Dr. Fossey, a distinguished primatologist spent close to two decades bringing into the light, learning and safeguarding the endangered Rwanda Mountain Gorillas. Dinner and overnight at the Mountain Gorillas Nest Lodge in Kinigi or Hotel Chez Lando or Kinigi Guest House. Meal plan: Full-Board.

Day 4: Dian – Nyungwe Forest.

Dawn breakfast, after depart to the Nyungwe Forest. This Forest has a diversity of surroundings including montane forest, bamboo, grasslands, swamps and bogs and is very mountainous as well. It gives some of the most excellent Golden Monkey trekking experiences over the canopy trekking trail in East Africa. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House. Meal plan: Full-Board.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking.

Early morning breakfast, and then go for the morning Chimpanzee trekking experience in the jungle in search of colonies of habituated Golden Monkeys. Other animals in the forest include the grey-cheeked mangabeys, blue monkeys, Angolan Columbus, L’Hoest monkeys and owl-faced monkeys. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board.

Day 6: Visit Genocide Memorial

Visit the Genocide Memorial where remains of thousands of Tutsis and moderate Hutus are conserved. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Des Millecollines. Meal plan: Full-Board.

Day 7: Departure.

Today is reserved for departures either back to your mother country or other destinations of your option like Uganda, Congo, Burundi or any other tourist destination. End of services, Meal plan: Half-Board.
